**Jas F. Murray was James Francis Murray, born in 1899 and died in 1990. He worked at the "Lawrence Telegram" in Boston to pay his way through the Massachusetts School of Art. He worked for various publications, painting scenes from around the New England area. His favorite subject was the sea.**
