These rare Rubicon dinnerware pieces were produced individually, by hand, in Italy in approximately the 1940s. With a design far ahead of its time, it did not come into vogue until the 1960s. Each piece was handmade, hand painted, and signed on the back. Some pieces havea number, some do not, but all pieces are marked "F.B.C., Rubicon, Italy".
Because of the age and handmade qualities, each piece is unique and has a variety of air bubbles that formed in the paint during manufacture and/or spots where the paints and glaze did not completely cover the pottery.

**Red, blue and yellow plaid pattern on ivory background**

**No breaks, no repairs, no cracks, no crazing, does have chipping**
**Marked on bottom: "F. B. C., Rubicon, Italy" ; one also has "5505"**
