Please note: Incised on the bottom of this beautiful piece is a pottery mark that is often mistaken for Camille Naudot & Co from Paris, France. This is not the pottery mark for Camille Naudot.
Listings you see on eBay that claim it is are incorrect, as eBay's own investigators have discovered. The mark you see incised on the bottom of this piece (please see last photo) has been tentatively identified as belonging to a Japanese company. It has been pointed out that Camille Naudot never produced figurines, only items such as simple bowls. All of this, however, does not detract from the beautiful simplicity of this figurine.
Beautiful Peasant Girl with Dove
**Approximately 3 inches deep, 3 inches wide, 6 1/4 inches tall**
**A girl pauses while on a walk on a dirt path to hold a dove who has suddenly landed on her hand. It seems the dove wanted her to pause and look at something in the path ahead, perhaps a nest?**
**No cracks, no breaks, no repairs, no crazing, no chips**
**This figurine is in remarkable condition for its age and fragility. A few of the fingers have an uneven edge to them but it appears to be from the manufacturing process as the fingers are (amazingly!!) intact**
**Incised on the bottom with an "N" on a "C", manufacturer unknown**
