R.S. (Reinhold Schlegelmilch) Germany porcelain was produced between 1910 and 1956 in Tilowitz in Upper Germany. Pieces were in high demand with several department stores within the U.S. having patterns created specifically for them.
Gold and Pearlized Green Sectioned Serving Dish
**8 1/2 inches wideat widest point, 2 inches tall at handle, 1 inch tall at side of dish**
**A wonderfully unusual dish. There are three sections with a gold scrolled handle. Along the gold-edged rim is an embossed flower and leaf pattern. A lace-like etching or overlay is on the green sections. The high amount of detail and workmanship give this piece a very distinct Old World look**
**On the underside there was apparently some difficulty in controlling the specialized green glaze as there are a few lines that at first glance look like pen marks. Upon closer examination, it turns out they are lines of what looks to be undissolved color. The lines are under the glaze and are a variety of greens and blues with some gold. There also are spots that look much like water spots except they are within the glaze itself.**
**No breaks, no cracks, no crazing, no repairs, one pinpoint dark spot**
**Very good condition, handle has wear with some small scratches and thinning of the gold in spots.**
**Marked on bottom with a star and wreath with "RS" in the center and "Germany" below**
