The Goldcrest Ceramics Corporation began in 1885 in Vienna as the Goldscheider Manufactory and Majolica Factory. Over the decades a variety of famous artists worked for the Goldscheider family creating art deco and art nouveau pieces.
In 1938 the family left Vienna and started factories in England and in Trenton, New Jersey. From 1947 to 1953 the company was known as the Goldcrest Ceramics Corporation.
