**Gerte Hacker, an established Cleveland-area artist in the 1950s through 2000, designed and created this vintage dish in the sixties. Hacker began as a painter but soon began to experiment with enamels.

In 1964, Hacker was commissioned by Higbee Co. to make an enamel tray for each governor attending a Cleveland conference. Hacker's gallery on Superior Avenue in Cleveland was open from the early sixties to the early seventies. She won numerous awards and national recognition for her work and is considered an artist who has never been fully appreciated for her talents and contributions to the art world**
