Vintage Playing Cards with Tax Stamp, 2 1/4 inches wide, 3 1/2 inches tall. Includes a card with the history of coffee, including that it cost $4.68 a pound in 1683.

**Cards are 2 1/4 inches wide, 3 1/2 inches tall**

**Design on cards is in red and white and shows a woman serving a man a cup of coffee. The first card on the underside of the deck has a history of coffee (in 1683 it cost $4.68 a pound!)**

**Wrapped in original cellophane with tax stamp fully intact**

**The cellophane is fragile and has opened. When the pack of cards was removed from the box for photos, the cellophane opened. It is loosely wrapped around the cards. The tax stamp has a bend from being applied over the edge of the cards.**

**Box has velvet-like lid in royal blue and box bottom is silver**

**Cards are very clean and have no wear. In the photos, the cards may look worn but that is the cellophane that is still in place, the cards are very bright and clean**

**Stamp is blue and white and has "Playing Cards, 1 pack, U.S. Int. Rev." on the stamp is a red cancellation or paid stamp of a bar through the top and bottom and in the middle is "B & B" This stamp was used from 1940 to 1965. The tax was ended in 1965.**
